LCC started the season against ADCC. After winning the toss, ADCC elected to bat first. Even after an aggressive start, ADCC found itself at 53 for 5 due to some wonderful bowling efforts from LCC. But thanks to some late contribution from lower middle order, ADCC managed to post a respectable score of 148 in 20 overs. LCC did not have the dream start with the chase and the target seemed far fetched at one stage with scoreboard showing 26 runs at the loss of 4 wickets. Opener Sagar Memane and vice captain Gursewak Sandhu managed to stitch a well fought partnership of 50 runs to bring the chase to 7 runs per over by half way of the innings. Unfortunately, the loss of Sagar’s wicket led to a gradual collapse of the rest of the lineup with LCC managing to put only 134 on board. ADCC won the match by 14 runs.
LCC congratulates ADCC for their win and a fair game of cricket and looks forward to come back stronger in the next match on 20.05. against VCC.
